SOCCER ADDS HOME GAME ON MONDAY TO SCHEDULE
Hurricane Gustav’s impact on South Louisiana hit close to home this past week as the GSU Lady Tiger soccer team lost three non-conference games as Nicholls State and SE Louisiana evacuated its campuses in addition to a tournament match in Lake Charles. As a result, head coach Tamura Crawley had to make new plans and picked up Central Arkansas for a 1 p.m. match-up on Monday afternoon in Grambling.
Monday’s match-up marks the home opener for GSU after two contests on the road to open the year. The Lady Tigers dropped their first two matches of the year to Auburn and McNeese State and ran into Mother Nature after that as Hurricane Gustav forced the cancellation of matches versus Lamar, Nicholls State and SE Louisiana.
The UCA match-up will take place at the Lady Tiger soccer field and admission is free.
