W.C. Gorden Classic Schedule of Events
Jackson, MS - (Sept. 3, 2008) A series of events surrounding the W.C. Gordon Classic will be held Friday Sept. 5. The day will start with the coaches luncheon at the Regency Hotel at noon. Following the luncheon, the first annual W.C. Gordon Golf Tournament will take place at the Brookwood-Byram Country Club at 1 p.m. Registration for the tournament will last from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Friday’s final event will be the Farish Street Festival Pep Rally featuring the JSU “Sonic Boom of the South” marching band, JSU cheerleaders, and head coaches from JSU, Mississippi College, and Millsaps.
Jackson State will host Stillman College Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 for the W.C. Gorden Classic. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. For more information concerning Friday’s events contact Stewart Fleming at (601) 979-0418.
