Howard Swept by UMBC
WASHINGTON, D.C. -
The Lady Bison volleyball team was defeated by UMBC, 3-0 (25-14,
25-20, 25-14) Tuesday night in Howard’s home opener.
Senior Elyssa
Lee registered a team-high seven kills for
the Bison while freshmen Gabrielle Martin and Taylor Johnson
contributed six and five kills, respectively.
Sophomore Gazelle d’Artois recorded
five kills and a match-high nine digs and freshman Grace DeMichelis
finished with 21 set-assists.
Howard (0-4) returns to action this
weekend at the UNC Charlotte Tournament. The Bison will face off
with the host 49ers on Fri., Sept. 5 before battling Youngstown
State and Norfolk State on Sat., Sept. 5, respectively.
