Howard Edged by Robert Morris in Women’s Soccer Action
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Howard women’s soccer
team was edged by Robert Morris, 1-0, in a non-conference matchup
Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium.
Tied 0-0 at halftime, the Colonials took the lead in the 59th
minute as Jessica Sharik scored on an assist from Daneen Stevenato.
Senior Natalie Williston (Windsor, Conn./Westminster
School) paced the Bison with six shots, four of them on
goal.
Senior Jessamyn Perkins (Brunswick, Maine/Catherine
McAuley H.S.) played 90 minutes and made 11 saves while
Caitlin Dilal picked up the win for RMU (2-0).
Howard (1-2) returns to action on Sept. 5-7 with a road trip up
to Buffalo, N.Y. to face off with Buffalo and Canisius,
respectively.
