GAFFNEY, SC- The Elizabeth City State University volleyball team split four matches at the Labor Day Tournament hosted by Limestone College August 29-30.

Outside hitters Eva Johnson and Chelsea Amick were both named to the All-Tournament Team.

On day one ECSU fell to both Adelphi University (25-15, 25-21, 23-25, 25-14) and the host Limestone College (25-23, 19-25, 25-14, 25-18) in four sets. The Lady Vikings then rebounded to sweep their competition on day two, downing both Kentucky State and Fort Valley State, also in four set matches 25-11, 16-25, 25-14, 25-22 and 25-23, 25-19, 24-26, 25-15, respectively.

ECSU will return to action as they will open up CIAA play on Tuesday, September 2nd against Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA. Game time is slated for 6:00pm. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
