Miami Classic Tickets Available Now
WASHINGTON, D.C.
– Tickets for the Miami Classic, an inaugural
showdown between historically black institutions, will be on sale
beginning Tuesday, Aug. 26. Tickets may be purchased at the Cramton
Box Office on the campus of Howard University at (202)
806-7198/7199.
General tickets are $35 and will be
available for purchase at Cramton until Fri., Sept. 19. Fans are
encouraged to wear their Bison Blue.
“We are very excited to be a part
of the inaugural Miami Classic,” said Dwight Datcher, athletics
director at Howard University. “This is a great opportunity for the
Howard community to come together and support a storied athletic
program that is rich in tradition.”
The 2008 Miami Classic will be
played on Saturday, Sept. 27, and will be televised on ION. The
game will be played in the Traz Powell Stadium in downtown Miami,
Fla.
“We welcome students, fans and
alumni to one of the world’s greatest cities,” said Andre Williams,
chair of the Miami Classic. “The Miami Football Classic Weekend
provides a positive arena for our fans to have fun and experience
the many opportunities that an HBCU education has to offer, while
giving other HBCU supporters a chance to reunite and network.”
