WASHINGTON, D.C. - Howard
University will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. on Monday to
formally introduce Niki Reid Geckeler as its new women’s basketball
coach, athletics director Dwight Datcher announced Thursday
afternoon.  The meeting will be held in the Blackburn Gallery
Lounge.

Reid Geckeler joined Howard after
10 years at Georgetown University, where she served as an assistant
coach, recruiting coordinator and academic advisor with the women’s
basketball team. During her tenure, the Hoyas reached the Big East
Championship game in 2005 and made three WNIT appearances.
