Women’s Soccer Announces 2008 Schedule
WASHINGTON, D.C. -
The Howard women’s soccer team unveiled its schedule Tuesday, and
it features seven home contests and trips to Florida and Utah.
The team will be looking to build
on a successful campaign in 2007, where it had six Bison
receive All-Conference nods.
HU will prepare for the
regular season with an exhibition contest at home,
hosting Columbia Union College on Aug. 19. Howard
will then return open up the regular season as it
hosts VMI on Friday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.
The Bison will host two more
teams in the month of August, Radford on Aug. 24 (2 p.m.) and
Robert Morris on Aug. 31 (1 p.m.).
Howard will travel to Buffalo,
N.Y. for a pair of games Sept. 5-7. The Lady
Bison will open playing Buffalo on Sept. 5 at 3 p.m.
before playing Canisius on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. The
team will continue its road trip when it travels to Florida to
face Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday, Sept. 10
at 7 p.m.
USC action starts on Friday,
Sept. 12 for HU when it hosts South Carolina State
at 6 p.m.
The team will hit the road for its
last series of the season when it plays Utah Valley on
Oct. 20 and concludes the regular season on Oct. 26 at NJIT.
