LANGFORD SIGNS WITH DOLPHINS
MIAMI – Former Hampton University defensive end Kendall Langford signed a multi-year contract with the Miami Dolphins on Friday. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed on the Dolphins’ official website.
Langford (Petersburg, Va.) was selected in the third round of the NFL Draft by the Dolphins on April 27, going No. 66 overall.
Langford played all 11 games for the Pirates in 2007, recording a team-high 72 tackles. He also recorded a team-high 13.5 tackles for losses and tied Marcus Dixon for the team lead in sacks with six.
In his career at Hampton, Langford recorded 236 tackles, the fifth-highest total in school history, as well as 24.5 sacks. A three-year starter for the Pirates, Langford earned All-MEAC honors in three consecutive seasons.
