HU RELEASES FALL 2008 SAILING SCHEDULE
HAMPTON, Va. – The Hampton University sailing team has released its schedule for the fall 2008 season. The nine-regatta slate will begin Sept. 13-14 at Old Dominion University with the Riley Cup.
South #1 at St. Mary’s College (Md.) on Sept. 27-28 and South #2 hosted by Georgetown University on Oct. 4-5 will serve as qualifying events for the War Memorial, which will be hosted by Cornell Nov. 1-2. The top four finishers at South #1 will qualify for the War Memorial, while the top two finishers at South #2 will qualify.
The Pirates and Lady Pirates will have two off weekends in the fall season: Oct. 18-19 and Nov. 7-8.
The America’s Cup tournament at NEISA will be held Nov. 15-16, while the SAISA/MAISA regatta will take place Nov. 17-18.
Below is the complete fall 2008 sailing schedule. Hampton’s spring schedule will be announced January 2009.
