Huntsville, Ala. - Alabama A&M head coach Nedra Brown announced four new additions for the 2008 season. Karensa Beckford, Makeda Moore, Tabria Majors, and Anna Crutchfield have all committed to play for the Bulldogs.
Beckford is a 6-0 rightside hitter from Houston, Tex. that is expected to make an immediate contribution to the squad. “Karensa is a good recruit that will see plenty of playing time this season,” said Brown. “She is an excellent defensive player and will also make an impact on the offensive side of the ball.”
Newcommer Moore is a 5-11 outside hitter from Los Angeles, Cal. “Makeda has a lot of experience on the Club scene and will bring that experience to the collegiate level,” said Brown.
Crutchfield and Majors will also add depth to the roster. Crutchfield is a 5-10 middle blocker from Columbus, Ga. and Majors is a 5-10 outside hitter from Nashville, Tenn. Both are Presidential Scholarship recipients.
